Hi I'm Carguin. A fusion of Carmen and penguin. I love to draw and paint. I graduated from the Academy of Art University in background painting in 2D Animation, but also with an interest in character design. In fact, one of my favorite subject is figure drawing.

I started my pursuit in matte painting in my last semester. I was fortunate enough to be picked up by Doug Chiang at Imagemovers Digital upon graduation. Since then I have learned a lot more about matte painting both technically and artistically. Unfortunately that meant less time to do traditional art, but I nonetheless enjoyed it.

In my free time I love playing all kinds of games. My latest after-work project is working with a friend on an iphone game. We'll let you know when it's released!
